Transformation through Equity in Higher Education

His has 10+ years of experience within Student Services in BC post-secondary education and has also worked at Douglas College, SFU and CapilanoU. In 2021, Drew completed his Master of Education – Higher Education at UBC where his studies focused on access to post-secondary education institutions and their social positioning. He is a citizen of the Metis Nation of BC.
Session Outline: Change in post-secondary education is accelerating and many institutions are navigating significant shifts in purpose, which is impacting the experiences of higher education for both students and employees. Alongside the uncertainty this brings, there is a real opportunity to shape change intentionally through equity. Today’s session invites us to think critically about how reform happens in higher education and how inequities can be disrupted.
